Airing live on WFDU on Sunday July 8, 2018 from 3-6pm ET and rebroadcast at www.bluesandrootsradio.com on Saturday July 14 at 6:30pm ET and Tuesday July 17 at 10pm ET
This week’s show featured a tribute to Vince Martin who passed away on July 6 at the age of 81. Vince was a fixture in the Greenwich Village folk scene of the early 1960s, and also helped create a folk scene in Coconut Grove, Florida. In 1964, Vince recorded a critically acclaimed album with fellow singer-songwriter Fred Neil that influenced many artists including the Lovin’ Spoonful and the Grateful Dead.
