TRADITIONS playlist for March 26, 2017
My guest this week was children’s author Susanna Reich who discussed her new book Stand Up and Sing! Pete Seeger, Folk Music, and the Path to Justice. The book is the first illustrated biography of Pete that is geared toward children. The book covers the many struggles that Pete was involved in including the blacklist, the Civil Rights movement, the anti-war movement and his work to clean up the Hudson River with the Hudson Sloop Clearwater.
