TRADITIONS playlist for December 4, 2016
On this week’s show, I welcomed acclaimed Israeli singer-songwriter and humanitarian David Broza to the studio. David performed live in the studio and discussed the documentary and companion CD “East Jerusalem West Jerusalem,” a project that brought Israeli and Palestinian artists together in an East Jerusalem studio for eight days and nights to record with David and co-producer Steve Earle. The result was collection of songs that blend cultures and languages to celebrate collaboration and coexistence. David also discusses plans for his upcoming Town Hall concert.
(Tune in to WFDU-FM’s TRADITIONS every Sunday from 3pm to 6pm Eastern Time over WFDU-FM 89.1 in the NYC/Northern New Jersey area, or on the web at www.wfdu.fm or iHeartRadio.com. The show can also be heard Saturday evenings at 6:30pm ET at www.bluesandroots.radio.com. On-demand streams of shows, including this one, are archived for two weeks by clicking HERE. A Sing Out!
