SUNDAY ON WFDU – NATHAN ROGERS AND RON COHEN
Be sure to tune into WFDU-FM’s TRADITIONS this Sunday March 1 when my special guest will be Nathan Rogers. Joining us from his home in Winnipeg, Nathan will share songs from his debut CD “True Stories” and discuss the craft of songwriting. He will also talk about his family including his famous father Stan Rogers and uncle Garnet Rogers. Nathan will be appearing at the Hurdy Gurdy Folk Music Club at the Fair Lawn Community Center on March 7th, along with special guest Jennifer Mylod. Also on the program will be author Ron Cohen. He will discuss his new book “A History of Folk Music Festivals in the United States: Feasts of Musical Celebration“. The book details the history of folk festivals in this country – from local affairs in the 1800’s to contemporary events that celebrate a diverse selection of styles.
