WFDU-FM’sTRADITIONS Playlist for March 4, 2007
In memory of his passing, I re-broadcast an interview with Mark Spoelstra from 2002. He was a real interesting guest and his observations about the 1960’s folk revival were illuminating. An amazing guitarist, a wonderful songwriter, and a great wit – he should have been a more recognized figure on the folk scene. He will be missed.
Among the new CD’s that were shared today was the gem from the Public Domain Foundation – “Music to Life”. I could have tracked the entire CD over and over and no one would have complained. There are some very powerful songs on this CD. Do not ignore it!!
New and highly recommended – Anais Mitchell “The Brightness“, Susan Werner “The Gospel Truth” and Jonathan Byrd “This is the New That”.
( Tune in to TRADITIONS every Sunday from 3 to 6pm Eastern Time
