July 19th marks the 15th anniversary of the passing of singer-songwriter Dave Carter. His loss shocked the folk community as we lost a friend whose influence and talent was just beginning to be recognized by a wider audience. During the third hour of the this week’s show I paid tribute to Dave, sharing some recordings he made with his partner Tracy Grammer as well as performances of his work by other artists. We also heard John Smith’s moving tribute to Dave.

This week’s show also featured a preview and ticket giveway for the upcoming Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.
