The show was influenced by the fact that it was the day after Independence Day – and if you do the math you will see that the date is July 5th.  I could not think of a better time to have a salute to Canadian singer-songwriters!

 

Okay, there were a number of songs sprinkled throughout the show that recognized the 4th of July, and we had time to sample a number of superb new recordings.  Of particular note – Michael Troy “Mill Town Boy”, Angela Easterling “Blacktop Road”, Johnsmith “Gravity of Grace”, Childsplay “Waiting for Dawn” and John  Flynn “Departures”.
