Podcast: Ireland in America
Episode #17-11 | airing 3-15-17
This week on the Sing Out! Radio Magazine we celebrate St. Patricks Day with a show devoted to American performers of Irish Music. Inspiration for the program is the recording Ireland-Crossroads of Art and Design 1690-1840 released in conjunction with a recent exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago. The recording features music written by Liz Carroll and performed by an all-star band. We’ll hear three selections from that album and build sets of music around them featuring Patrick Ball, Frank Ferrell, Eileen Ivers and more.
