NEW UNCLE EARL VIDEO – CAROLINE DOCTOROW ON WFDU
Uncle Earl, the all-female stringband that evolved over the past five years into a musical phenomon, has released a wonderful new video:
I first met the band in Nashville, before they signed with Rounder Records. It is wonderful to see how their music has spread to a much larger stage and they recently completed a European tour – playing to sold out audiences nearly every night! We hope to see them in our area this year.
Caroline Doctorow will be my guest this Sunday on WFDU-FM’s TRADITIONS. Caroline will be opening for THE DAVE ROWE TRIO at the Hurdy Gurdy Folk Music Club’s February 2nd concert at the Fair Lawn Community Center. Get your tickets soon! You can purchase tickets online at www.hurdygurdyfolk.org or call (201) 384-1325 for more information.
Plan on haggis for lunch next Friday! On Feb. 1 at noon on WFDU, THE SESSION will feature the music of Robert Burns on the anniversary of the immortal bard’s birth. A “Burn’s Lunch”!!
