Martin Kirwan is a young Irish gardener, family man and guitarist whoās been delighting his Soundcloud fanbase for the past two years with his exuberance and deft picking influenced by the likes of John Martyn, Paul Brady and Arty McGlynn. Heās as likely to extrapolate on a ukulele noodle or an ambient guitar piece as anything, but he also strums for weekly seisiuns down the pub; when weāre lucky he shares the odd trad tune, always leaving us envious and wanting more. A personal favorite is his too-brief transposition of Wardās Jig to sarod, but once thatās done be sure to let his entire set of traditional Irish tunes accompany your favorite pint.
