Blues Power
Episode #19-30 | airing 07-24-19
Roots music is more popular than ever. Perhaps it’s a reaction to the sterile, synthetic pop music we are subjected to daily. There’s something comforting about listening to a musician who is playing the music he loves not for the money. The blues, in particular, has made a resurgence lately. And on this week’s show we’ll hear some recent blues releases including a bit of swing and jugband from all over the world: Duke Robillard, Keb’ Mo’, The Jake Leg Jug Band, The Muddy Basin Ramblers and many more. We’re celebrating blues power … this week on The Sing Out! Radio Magazine.
