The venerable Falcon Ridge Folk Festival has announced the names of the 24 artists selected for this year’s Grassy Hill Emerging Artist Showcase. 2016 marks the 28th edition of Falcon Ridge, one of the nation’s highly respected festivals festivals. Over the years, Falcon Ridge has presented a “who’s who” of the folk circuit and dance community, a variety of acts and styles that reflect the best of contemporary folk music as well as iconic artists from the folk revival. The well attended three day gathering of the folk community takes place in the beautiful foothills of the Berkshires at Dodds Farm in Hillsdale, New York. The 2016 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival will be held August 5th through the 7th.

The Grassy Hill Emerging Artist Showcase is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a festival event. The showcase is held Friday afternoons and it presents “up and coming” artists, and history has shown that many past participants have gone on to bigger opportunities and recognition. It has become a “must see” event for fans of folk music.  Each year, performers from all over the country apply, and a juried committee selects the lineup.

The 2016 Grassy Hill Emerging Artist Showcase will be presented on Friday August 5 from noon until 4:30pm. The selected artists, in alphabetical order, are:
