The Kerrville Folk Festival has announced the 2008 New Folk Winners, one of the most prestigious honors in contemporary folk music. These songwriters were among 32 finalists who performed during the 2008 Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Concerts on May 24 & 25. New Folk Winners receive a cash honorarium from the Texas Folk Music Foundation, Vic & Reba Heyman, and the Jim Ross Memorial Fund. Other prizes were provided by Performing Songwriter Magazine, Elixir Guitar Strings, Kyser Capos, and Intellitouch tuners from On-Board Research, and ClimbOn! Products

They will also be performing at the Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Winners Concert at noon on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Kerrville Folk Festival.
