With great pride I would like to announce the Formal Showcase selections for the 2007 Northeast Regional Folk Alliance Conference, to be held November 9th – 11th 2007 at Kutsher’s Resort & Conference Center in Monticello, NY.

The formal showcase committee has selected the following 14 artists for the 2007 NERFA Formal Showcase:

We would like to congratulate all the artists who submitted and thank them for giving us the opportunity to sample your music. While not everyone was able to receive a slot in the final lineup, I can speak from personal experience that the artists we listened to this summer are not forgotten once the judging ends. Like myself, the other judges also serve our folk community in roles such as presenters and radio hosts, so the opportunity to listen to your work will extend beyond NERFA in many case.

It was a truly an honor and a pleasure to work with all of you and to share your unique perspectives and criteria – perfect requirements to serve the diverse interests of the members of NERFA. As always, everyone is looking forward to another productive and enjoyable conference in November. I’m counting down the days!! I’d rather skip Christmas, the 4th of July and Thanksgiving before missing NERFA!
