WOODS TEA COMPANY’S CHIP CHASE DIES AT AGE 58
I am sad to report the passing of Charles Steven “Chip” Chase, a member of Woods Tea Company. Chip died on Sunday October 8th at his home in Union, VT , succumbing to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident earlier this summer.
Music was part of Chip’s professional life for the past 39 years. A gifted musician, Chip had performed in various groups in his career performing a variety of styles including jazz and country swing. His talents were also utilized in television and film where he operated his own production company.
With Woods Tea Company, Chip shared his versatile talents on guitar, banjo, fiddle and mandolin. His wonderful voice and wicked sense of humor added greatly to the dynamics of the group.
Our condolences to his family, friends, bandmembers and fans.
