In the fall of 2008, Matt Watroba (then the host) interviewed Pete for a special feature for The Sing Out! Radio Magazine. The interview, interwoven with lots of recordings of Pete’s songs, both by Pete himself and a wide range of covers by a sampling of other artists inspired by Pete, first aired in three parts that October and repeated during the May 2009 celebration of Pete’s 90th Birthday.

We’ve slightly re-edited the shows to remove any segments unrelated to Pete or the interview, and combined the content into one single long program running a little over two hours. Pete talks about a wide range of topics, from songleading to politics, the environment, world music and a whole lot more, reflecting on his life and philosophy. It’s a great glimpse, and remembrance, of our dear friend. We hope you enjoy it.
