Lead-Singer Aoife O’Donovan To Play Final Tour with Childsplay
The twelve-person fiddle choir, Childsplay, is embarking on their final tour with lead-singer Aoife O’Donovan. The choir consists some of the best fiddlers in the nation, including Boston Symphony violists and all-Ireland and national Scottish fiddle champions, and the sound is a delightful combo of Celtic and British tradition. All of the violinists and fiddlers in Childsplay use instruments that were crafted by Bob Childs, which adds another dimension to their musical aura. Not only can their distinct sound be attributed to their skills as musicians, but it is also due to the familial type of connection between the instruments they play. Joining the twelve fiddlers will be another band of talented musicians, including: Kathleen Guilday, Shannon Heaton, Mark Roberts, Keith Murphy, and Ralph Gordon, as well as step-dancers, Nic Gareiss and Shannon Dunne Don’t miss this opportunity to see Aoife O’Donovan as the lead-singer for Childsplay for the last time! Her final dates appearing on tour with the fiddle choir are December 1st at the Peter Norton Symphony Space in New York City, December 2nd at the Garde Arts Center in Connecticut, December 3rd in Portland, Maine, and December 4th in Lexington, Massachusetts.
