The Hudson River Sloop Clearwater Benefit Concert excitedly announces the addition of Loudon Wainwright III and Richard Barone to their concert line-up. The benefit concert is slated for October 21st at Symphony Space in NYC and is set to feature Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Suzanne Vega, Lucy Kaplansky, Tom Paxton, Guy Davis, David Amram and Toshi Reagon. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Clearwater’s Environmental Education programs. The evening will include the first annual “Power of Song Award,” which will be presented to George Wein, founder of the Newport Folk Festival, Newport Jazz Festival, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Playboy Jazz and JVC Jazz Festivals.
