When I started this website in June, my intent was inform readers of concerts, festivals and other events of interest in the Northern New Jersey / New York City metro area. I tried posting a few monthly lists, but I was never happy with the format. I also realized that many people who read these columns do not live in the area!

After some experimenting with formats, I have created a separate “Events Calendar” page, which you can link to in the column at the right. You can also subsribe with a RSS feed!

You will find separate calendars for the next three months, and on additional calendar for the months beyond. I intend to update these periodically as information becomes available. I will continue to mention noteworthy concerts and festivals in this column as well.

I hope to make this a comprehensive list from which you will be able to link to websites, find addresses and phone numbers and have the ability to e-mail the monthly calendars to your friends and family(just click on the envelope icon at the bottom of the list!). I spend a few hours each week surfing the net looking for new events to add and I receive numerous press releases at WFDU. If you know of an event that is missing, please write!

During the next few weeks I will also add festival information to the calendar, including festivals from other regions. Hopefully you can use this guide as a travel plan this summer and visit some great festivals in other parts of the country!
