In early 2012, the award-winning dobroist, Andy Hall, will begin offering lessons as part of ArtistWorks’ Academy of Bluegrass. The lessons will be offered at the beginner, intermediate and advanced level, in order to encourage people of all skill sets to participate. Hall joins a distinguished set of musicians who have their own schools at the Online Academy, including Tony Trischka’s School of Banjo, Bryan Sutton’s School of Guitar, Darol Anger’s School of Fiddle, Missy Raines’ School of Bass, and Mike Marshall’s School of Mandolin. In a similar fashion to these musicians, Hall will be presenting his full dobroist method in HD video to subscribing students of the site. Following the tutorial, the students will have an opportunity to submit video of themselves performing and get feedback from Andy. These Video Exchanges are posted for everyone who subscribes to watch, which aids the students in increasing their musical prowess by watching others perform, in addition to receiving individual feedback from Hall.
