All For Love
Episode #19-07 | airing 02-13-19
Valentine’s Day in upon us once more. Flowers and chocolates are literally flying off the shelves and there are near riots at card shops. This may be a bit of an overstatement but Valentine’s Day remains a very favorite holiday in the U.S. … so for this week selections, we’ll focus on all things “amor.”
The holiday first became associated with romantic love in the 14th century in England, and, by the 18th century, the practice of expressing love to one’s partner included the presentation of flowers, confectionery items and sending heart-shaped cards. As our Valentine to you, we’ll share songs of love from a more recent era … this week on The Sing Out! Radio Magazine.
