For our readers in the Maryland area this weekend: Common Ground on the Hill will present for the first time the Deer Creek Fiddlers’ Convention, a Maryland tradition since 1972, at the Carroll County Farm Museum in Westminster, MD on Saturday, June 11th, 2011 from 9AM until 7PM. Activities include band and individual competitions and cash prizes in bluegrass, old-time and Celtic music and southern Appalachian clog dancing.
