2010 IMA Winners
Winners for the tenth annual Independent Music Awards (IMAs) have been announced. The IMAs span several genres and cover the latest and greatest of self-released artists, artists previously on major labels and talent from smaller indie labels. Some winners relevant to the Sing Out! readership include Pokey LaFarge & the South City Three, winning Best Americana Album for Riverboat Soul, Little Miss Higgins, winning Best Blues Album for Across the Plains, Jane Taylor, winning Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter for her album Compass, and Zhao Jiazhen, winning Best World Traditional Album for Zhao Jiazhen: Masterpieces of the Chinese Qin from the Tang Dynasty to Today.
