The World Music Expo (WOMEX) has announced its short list of potential host cities for the 2015-2017 season.  The internationally acclaimed festival encompasses a trade fair, conferences, networking sessions, and awards, making it a great location for musicians to meet and make contacts.  It is held annually on the last weekend in October in different European cities, and with the last two host cities declaring the event a success, the list of applicants is only getting longer.  Among the favorites for the 2015-2017 season are Barcelona, Budapest, Dublin, Vienna, and Warsaw, as well as the last two host cities, Thessaloniki, Greece and Cardiff, UK.  There are nine cities vying for the opportunity, which promises to bring musicians from all corners of the world.  The WOMEX team will begin visiting the potential cities shortly, hoping to choose three top contenders.  This year’s Expo will be held in Cardiff, UK.
