2013/2014 Sing Out! Ad Rates, Sizes & Specs
Magazine Dimensions & Info:
- Trim Size: 7.75 inches wide x 10 inches high
- Live Page: 6.75 inches wide x 8.875 inches high
- Format: Three-column pages.
- Printing: Web Offset.
- Binding: Perfect bound.
- Pages: 168 (average)
Acceptable Materials:
We prefer that you submit your ad electronically. 600 DPI TIFF, maximum resolution JPEG or Prepress PDF file are the preferred formats. Follow this link for more detailed information about acceptable formats and submission methods for electronic ads.
Camera-ready artwork can also be furnished by the advertiser as negative film, or positive velox print, stat or Linotronic output. NOTE: If you submit your art as a positive print or negative, there is a $15.00 stripping charge per color per insertion.
For ads that are not camera-ready, Sing Out! will bill the advertiser for in-house typesetting and design at $60/hour. (We can provide an estimate of costs beforehand.)
Black & White: For best results, please use 133-line screen for photos.
Color: Electronic submission of ads is strongly preferred. A color proof must be provided with all 4-color ads. If you prefer, 4-color separations, right-reading with the emulsion side down, can be provided along with a color key for proofing. Both cover ads and interior ads should be 133-line screen. (As mentioned above, there is a $60 negative stripping charge per insertion for color ads unless submitted electronically).
Classifieds: The rate for classified ads is 60 cents per word or group of numbers; no discounts, please. Anything in the first line may be capitalized and/or boldface type. Payment in advance is required. Classified ads are due by the typesetting deadline.
Display Classifieds: The rate is $30.00 per column inch; column width measures 2-1/8". Display Classifieds must be sent electronically. Typesetting and layout by our art department is available at an additional charge. Categories include: Performers & Agents, Recordings, Services, Venues, Instruments, Publications, Radio & TV, Instruction and Accessories. Display classifieds must be prepaid; no discounts, please.
