Sing Out!’s Best of 2015

Best of 2015
As we close out 2015, we gather up our thoughts to compile a list of the albums that we, as a staff of writers and editors, feel ought to be commended for their excellence. We recognize that this list is not all-encompassing, which should not be expected, given the enormous array of musics that can comfortably fit within the designation of “folk.”

We are tasked with sifting through the thousands of albums sent to Sing Out! each year, and put forth our best effort to review them with care. Through this process we have listened to and enjoyed many albums, and we’d like to thank the great number of talented artists that have submitted albums for review this year. It has all been very enjoyable, and makes this process very rewarding.

Special thanks to all the contributors to this year’s list: Jamie Anderson, Tom Druckenmiller, Matt Hengeveld, Glenn Herbert, Bruce Sylvester, Michael Tearson, Gary von Tersch
